What's all about this 'Ayurveda'?
Ayurveda is the art-science of health care, from India & the world is waking up to the vast pharmacopoeia of Ayurveda. This tradition of natural medicine has helped millions of people for the last 50 centuries. It reveals all secrets of healthy living through natural diet & life style. It shows us how to balance our life with nature's rhythms. Ayurveda unfolds the harmony between body, mind & spirit and emphasizes on the importance of the tranquility of mind.
Ayurveda means literally "science of life". It is a science, or way of knowledge about life, its powers and its resources. Yet Ayurveda is not a science artificially imposed upon living beings. Its basis is not found in mere chemistry, or in a mechanistic and materialistic view of the human body. Ayurveda is based upon a profound understanding of movement of the vital force and its manifestation within our entire psychophysical system.
Ayurvedic approach to health is two folds: heal sickness by restoring body's natural balance of energies (Doshas) and preserve the health by carefully maintaining the balance through daily and seasonal routine. Ayurvedic definition of health is beyond "absence of disease". According to Ayurveda, health is that state where mind, body, spirit, emotions and senses are all in perfect balance-the way nature designed them to be.
It is our responsibility to maintain positive health; Nature can help!
